A Decade of Sustainable Development Goals in the Republic of Serbia, 2015-2025

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia is publishing a special publication, The Decade of Sustainable Development Goals in the Republic of Serbia, 2015–2025, which is dedicated to the first decade of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Serbia.

As we enter the final stretch toward 2030, this publication provides an overview of the state of play in the implementation of the SDGs in the Republic of Serbia. Over the past decade, the Republic of Serbia has made significant progress, among other in the areas of health, gender equality, digital transformation and economic growth. The report highlights that progress in some areas is uneven and that greater efforts are needed. Persistent challenges remain for vulnerable groups (rural populations, the elderly and children), as well as in the following areas: education, access to healthcare and environmental protection.

The publication was prepared by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, with the assistance of Dr. Marija Babović, and with the support of the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Serbia (UNRCO) and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in Serbia.
