– compiling and presenting indicators –
The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS), in the period from 23 – 24 October 2023, and in cooperation with the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) organized the workshop “Compiling and presenting the Sustainable Development Goals indicators – 2030 Agenda”. The workshop was attended by the representatives of the Ministry for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, the State auditing institution, the Public Policy Secretariat of the Republic of Serbia, UN, GIZ and the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.
At the workshop presented were the ongoing and so far implemented activities of SORS concerning the compilation and presentation of the Sustainable Development Goals indicators – 2030 Agenda, which are followed on the global basis defined indicators. The representatives of the authorities stressed the readiness of the Republic of Serbia to be active in the implementation of 2030 Agenda and strive for the inclusion of the Sustainable Development Goals in planning public policies in the Republic of Serbia; as well as the close relationship between the implementation of 2030 Agenda and the process of accessing the European Union; they pointed out the fact that the two respective processes could not be regarded separately.
In the course of the workshop the participants had the opportunity to get to know the samples of good practice of Poland and Germany as regards the process of creation of the national set of indicators, and also the monitoring and reporting on the Sustainable Development Goals indicators. Besides, presented were the innovative approaches in compiling digital data, which are still in the experimental stage.
