The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, working together with the office of the UN Resident Coordinator (RC) in the Republic of Serbia and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), on 14 November 2023 organized the workshop with the topic “Upgrading the process of reporting on implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the Republic of Serbia”. The workshop was attended and participated by the representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Public Policy Secretariat, the Public Health Institute of Serbia, UN, UNICEF, UN-Habitat, Protector of Citizens, Commissioner for Protection of Equality, Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, Belgrade Open School, GIZ and the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. The workshop was the event where presented were the actual forms of informing SORS about the Sustainable Development Goals indicators – 2030 Agenda, which are followed on the basis of globally defined indicators, as well as the ideas for improving the reporting processes. According to their own experience, the participants stressed certain advantages and disadvantages of actual reporting processes, and they offered proposals for their upgrading in form and in content. During the online presentation of the UN-Habitat representative Mr Martino Miraglia, the attendants availed of the opportunity to get acquainted with useful information and examples of good practice of certain countries as regards the reporting on progress made in the SDGs implementation.
