The seventh successive Workshop on the data concerning Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), dedicated to strengthening the framework of data and indicators for monitoring and reporting on the dimension of urban development in the Agenda 2030, was held on 13 June 2023. The workshop was organized through cooperation between the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Serbia, the UN Habitat in Serbia (UN Program for Settlements) and the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS). The event took place in the SORS Conference room and it was attended by 16 participants from five national institutions and four participants from four international institutions.
The workshop was aimed at ensuring SDG indicators for the Global Urban Monitoring Framework. Of the total of 77 indicators envisaged for monitoring in all UN member countries, 46 are SDG indicators, and among them 83% i.e. 38 indicators are already monitored for Serbia by SORS and published on its internet pages:
Through their professional and constructive discussion, the participants proposed reliable data sources for the remaining eight indicators (1.4.2, 9.3.1, 11.2.1, 11.3.1, 11.3.2, 11.7.1, 12.8.1 and 13.2.1) and the options for the calculation.
The work was organized through the following activities:
